Is there a fee for MEDICONET membership ?

Membership in the program is conditional on paid registration in the comprehensive health care program of the polyclinic.

What makes you the most different from your competitors ?

Availability and waiting times for examinations with MEDICONET doctors are as short as possible within Bratislava and throughout Slovakia. Communication and coordination between our medical team and patients allows us to provide services of the highest quality. We treat each client individually and are always guided by the Code of Ethics for Patient Rights.

Do you have contracts with all health insurance companies ?

We have full contracts with the health insurance companies Union and Všeobecná zdravotná poist'ovňa (General Health Insurance Company), i.e. all outpatient clinics are covered. Full use of the programme is therefore possible in the case of insured persons of these insurance companies. Some of our specialists do not have a contractual relationship with the insurance company Dôvera. (For Dôvera insured persons, we will therefore arrange appointments with some specialists outside the clinic so that clients do not incur high extra charges for prescription drugs or further diagnostics). If you decide to change your health insurance company, we will be happy to help you.

Who can be given information about my health ?

Health information is provided solely to the client. With the client's written consent (e-mail or power of attorney), information may be provided to a family member or a person authorized by the client. Pediatric patient health information is provided to the child's legal guardian.

What is the importance of transferring medical records ?

- the possibility of reporting sick leave - this can only be provided by the general practitioner with whom you are registered
- medicines prescribed by your GP may be fully or partly covered by your health insurance (otherwise you pay the full price)
- direct access to MEDICONET specialists before approval by the general practitioner is only available to capitated patients
- access to the external network of specialists is only available to capitated patients
- diagnostic blood tests at no extra cost to the patient
- BASIC preventive check-up evaluation with a general practitioner or the head of a polyclinic (the doctor has access to your complete health data)

Who will do the paperwork for the transfer of medical records from my current GP ?

The administration of the transfer of medical records from your current general practitioner and also from your gynaecologist is carried out by MEDICONET on the basis of your consent. Please note that the law stipulates a minimum period of 6 months during which the patient must be registered with the relevant general practitioner.

How is parking provided ?

For clients of the MEDICONET clinic we have free parking directly in the building. The entrance to the parking lot is from Hollého Street, approximately 20 meters from the intersection Heydukova - Hollého, on the left side. Before entering the car park, you need to report to the doorman via intercom, who will then tell you the number of your parking space.

If I want to become your client and I have my own doctor, do I need to transfer my medical records to you ?

If you opt for any of the annual programmes, we will ask you to sign a capitation agreement when you sign the contract, whereby we will take care of the transfer of your medical records to us. You can also stay with your GP, but you should consider certain restrictions associated with this.

Does MEDICONET also work as an emergency room ?

Our client service in collaboration with the medical team will immediately assess acute or worsening cases and arrange same day or within 24 hours. Other requests are dealt with according to their nature, with an appointment with a GP always available within 14 days at the latest. We are a polyclinic, not a hospital. In the event of an emergency or a potential threat to life or limb, always contact the emergency line first.

When will my MEDICONET online portal be activated ?

Your online portal - client zone is activated automatically after you register for one of the annual programs.
